Event risk management is more than a tick in the box exercise.

Event risk management is the coordination of activities designed to direct and control an event with regard to risk.  Risk management should be integrated into all elements of the event process, from concept through to implementation.  It's not a tick in the box exercise. You need to show defensible and due diligent risk practice and ensure that you have reduced event risks to as low as reasonably practical (ALARP) with the resources you have allocated.
